We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to join our team in the Marshall, MN area. In this role, you'll be the friendly, knowledgeable face our customers see when they need assistance after accidents or weather events. You'll assess property damage, explain coverage, and guide them through the claims process with empathy and expertise.
What You'll Be Doing:
Be a Helping Hand: Conduct on-site inspections of residential and commercial properties to assess damage from accidents or weather events.
Connect and Collaborate: Work with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to gather information and resolve claims efficiently.
Provide Exceptional Service: Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
Be a Detective: Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports to support the claims process.
Handle Diverse Claims: Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
Ensure Fair Settlements: Evaluate coverage and policy terms, negotiate settlements, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Explore Your Territory: Travel within the Marshall, MN area and surrounding zip codes (55332, 55333, 56019, and many more!).
Enjoy Flexibility: This is a remote-field position, allowing you to work from home and travel for on-site inspections.
What We're Looking For:
Experience as a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist in the insurance industry.
Strong knowledge of property insurance policies and claim handling.
Understanding of residential and commercial building construction.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy.
Proven ability to assess damages and estimate repair costs.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Proficiency with claims management software.
Physical ability to climb ladders, inspect roofs, and navigate tight spaces.
A valid driver's license.
Residency within the described zip code areas.
Bonus Points If You Have:
A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience handling complex or high-value claims.
A background in construction.
Water mitigation inspection experience.
Experience with Xactimate or XactContents.
