Your Adventure: Helping People Rebuild
As a key member of our team, you'll be the friendly face our customers see when they need help the most. You'll assess damages, explain coverage, and guide them through the claims process with empathy and expertise. You'll be their trusted advisor, helping them navigate challenging times.
What You'll Be Doing:
On-Site Detective: Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to assess damages from accidents and weather events.
Customer Champion: Meet with policyholders, explain their coverage, and provide exceptional service every step of the way.
Problem Solver: Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports to support claims handling.
Coverage Expert: Evaluate policy terms to determine claim validity and ensure compliance with local regulations.
Negotiation Ninja: Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits, balancing company guidelines with customer needs.
Emotional Support: Occasionally, interact with people who are stressed or upset, and providing support and understanding.
Where You'll Be:
Serving your local community in Eastern Shore, DE.
This is a remote-field position, so you'll work from home and travel to inspection sites in your mobile office (vehicle).
There will be opportunities for virtual work from home, and occasional travel outside your assigned area may be required.
What You Bring to the Table:
Experience in property field inspections and claims handling.
Knowledge of residential and commercial building construction.
Strong understanding of property insurance policies and coverage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to assess damages, estimate repair costs, and negotiate settlements.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
Comfortable with physical tasks like climbing ladders, navigating roofs, and crawling in tight spaces.
A valid driver's license.
Bonus Points If You Have:
A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience handling complex or high-value claims.
A construction background.
Water mitigation inspection experience.
Experience with Xactimate or XactContents.
